WiFi & Filter Guard is a Chrome extension designed for school IT administrators to enforce WiFi connectivity and content filter compliance on managed Chromebooks.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer user data to third parties. Data is only sent to the reporting endpoint configured by the school's IT administrator. If no reporting endpoint is configured, no data leaves the device.
The extension stores connectivity status locally on the device using Chrome's storage API. No personal data is stored persistently on the device. Report data sent to the administrator's endpoint is governed by the administrator's own data retention policies.
The extension makes network requests to the following external services for connectivity checking only:

This extension is designed to be deployed and configured by school IT administrators via Google Admin Console. All data collection features (reporting endpoint, heartbeat URLs) are configured by the administrator, not by end users.
This extension is deployed on school-managed devices. It collects only the minimum data necessary to enforce school network policies. No data is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than school IT administration.
